Acceptance of Foreign Hospitality by Members of Parliament



Members are required to obtainprior permission of the Central Government for accepting any foreignhospitality during their private visits abroad or visits abroad in theirpersonal capacity, under Section 6 of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation)Act, 2010.

As  per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (ForeignersDivision FCRA Wing) vide their O.M. No.II/11/21022/58(97)/2011-FCRA-I dated 11th June, 2012,   Members are required  to submit  online  application in FC-2 Form  on the Ministry'sWebsite:  and send a hard  copy thereof duly  signed by  the Member concerned  along with invitation letter from the host orthe host country,  as the case maybe,   to the Ministry of HomeAffairs  for  necessary action  through Rajya Sabha Secretariat (Conference& Protocol Section, Room No. 527, Parliament House Annexe, New Delhi).


To avoid any  delay, Members are advisedthat their applications  for acceptanceof foreign hospitality must reach  theMinistry  of  Home Affairs at least  two weeks  before the proposed date of onward journey.


          Before accepting the hospitality theMembers should satisfy themselves about the credentials of theorganization/institution extending the hospitality.
