To ensure that enemy property continues to vest in the Custodian of Enemy Property of India.

To provide for prevention and  control of the spread of HIV and AIDS and for protection of human rights of persons affected by the said virus and syndrome and for  matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

The Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016

Introduced on 19.7.2016

 

The motion for reference of the Bill to the Joint Committee of Houses was adopted by Lok Sabha on 11.8.2016 and concurred by Rajya Sabha on 12.8.2016 with instruction to report by the last day of the first week of Winter Session.

 

To amend the definition of illegal migrant, reduction in the number of years of residency period to obtain Indian Citizenship through naturalization and to empower Central Govt. to cancel the registration of Overseas Citizen of India card in case of any violation.

May be taken up for consideration and passing in case the Report of the Joint Committee on the Bill is presented /laid to the Houses and Bill is passed by Lok Sabha and laid  on the table of Rajya Sabha.

To facilitate levy of tax on inter- state supply of goods or services as per article 246A read with article 269 A.

3.        

The Goods and Services Tax (Compensation for Loss of Revenue) Bill, 2016

To facilitate payment of compensation to States for loss of revenue arising on account of implementation of Goods and Services Tax, for a period of 5 year, as per section 18 of the Constitution (One Hundred and First Amendment) Act, 2016.

4.        

The Indian Institute of Management Bill, 2016

To declare the Indian Institutes of  Management (IIM) to be Institutions of National Importance through a Central Legislation so as to confer them statutory status and the competence, to award degrees to students who pass out from IIMs.

The Surrogacy (Regulation) Bill, 2016.

 

To constitute National Surrogacy Board, State Surrogacy Boards and appointment of appropriate authorities for regulation of the practice and process of surrogacy and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

6.        

The Divorce (Amendment) Bill, 2016

To amend the Divorce Act, 1869 to:-

(i)       empower the courts to make decrees of dissolution of marriage when either party to a marriage is domiciled in India;

(ii)     enable the Christian wife to present the petition to the district court within the local limit of whose jurisdiction, she is residing on the date of presentation of the petition; and

(iii)  reduce the minimum mandatory period for separate residence from “two years” to “one year”

(iv)

The Collection of Statistics (Amendment) Bill, 2016

To extend the jurisdiction of the Act to Jammu & Kashmir in respect of statistical matters falling in the Union List and Concurrent List applicable to that State.

The Constitution Scheduled Tribes (Order) Amendment Bill, 2016

To revise the list of Scheduled Tribes in the States of Assam, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu and Tripura

The Admiralty (Jurisdiction and Settlement of Maritime Claims) Bill, 2016

To consolidate the existing laws relating to admiralty jurisdiction of courts, admiralty proceedings on maritime claims, arrest of vessels and related issues including repeal of five obsolete statues on admiralty jurisdiction in civil matters.
