The Indian Trusts (Amendment) Bill 2015

 

 

The Bill, as passed by Lok Sabha, was laid on the Table of Rajya Sabha on 10.12.2015.

 

To enable the Central Government to notify a class of Securities for the purpose of investment of Trusts money by the trustees in such Securities and it deletes reference to the outdated and obsolete securities from the Act.

The Industries (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2015

 

 

The Bill, as passed by Lok Sabha,  was laid on the Table of Rajya Sabha on 11.12.2015.

 

To implement the Law Commission Report to substitute heading 26 “Fermentation Industries (other than Potable Alcohol)” of the First  schedule of I(D&R) Act, 1951.

The Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2016

 

The Bill, as passed by Lok Sabha, was laid on the Table of Rajya Sabha on 16.03.2016.

 

To provide for transfer of captive mining leases granted otherwise than through auction in order to facilitate legitimate business transactions and to define “leased area” in order to expand the scope of lease area by including therein dumping of mineral rejects.

To bring conspirators and abettors of hijacking also into the ambit of Anti-Hijacking Act, 1982 and include penalties as punishment for hijacking.

Bill was introduced in Lok Sabha on 21.12.2015 and referred to Joint Committee on 23.12.2015.

 

To consolidate and amend the laws relating to reorganization and insolvency resolution of corporate persons, partnership firms and individual in a time bound manner for maximization of value of assets of such persons, to promote entrepreneurship, availability of credit and balance the interest of all the stakeholders including alteration in the order of priority of payment of Government dues and to establish an insolvency and bankruptcy fund and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

2.

The Compensatory Afforestation Fund Bill, 2015

Introduced in Lok Sabha on 08.05.2015.The Bill was referred to Department-related Standing Committee on Science & Technology, Environment and Forests on 22.05.2015 and the report of the Committee was presented on 26.02.2016.

 

To provide for the establishment of funds under the public accounts of India and the public accounts of each States and crediting thereto the money received from the user agencies towards compensatory afforestation, additional compensatory afforestation, penal compensatory afforestation, net present value and all other amounts recovered from such agencies under the Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980: constitution of an authority at National Level and at each of the State and Union Territory administration for administration of the funds and to utilize the money so collected for undertaking artificial regeneration (plantations), assisted natural regeneration, protection of forests, forest related infrastructure development, green India programme, wild life protection and other related activities and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

to regulate the use of Deoxyribose Nucleic Acid analysis of human body substances profiles and to establish the DNA Profiling Board for laying down the standards for laboratories, collection of human body substances, custody trail from collection to reporting and also to establish a National DNA Data Bank and f-or matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
