(2) To enable acquisition of overseas citizen of India registration by a minors, whose parents are Indian citizens or one parent is an Indian Citizen and other parent is not eligible for overseas citizen of India.

(3) To merge the person of Indian Origin Card Scheme and  Overseas Citizen of India Scheme

(4) To re-name “Overseas Citizen of India” as “Overseas Indian Card Holder”

The Registration of Births and Deaths (Amendment)           Bill, 2012.

To provide for registration of marriages of all persons who are citizen of India belonging to various religious denominations and beneficial to women, as the registration certificate would provide evidentiary value in matrimonial and maintenance cases and prevent unnecessary harassment meted out by them.

To establish a statutory Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority to promote old age income security by establishing, developing and regulating pension funds and to protect the interests of subscribers to schemes of pension funds.

The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Amendment) Bill, 2011.

The report of the Department-related Standing Committee on Finance presented on 21.03.2012.

To put in place the enabling provisions for the introduction of an alternate method of obtaining alkaloids of opium through production of Concentrate of Poppy Straw instead of production and processing of opium in the country.  It further seeks to address the anomalies arising out of the amendments made in 2001 and also to strengthen the provisions of the Act.

The Warehousing Corporation (Amendment) Bill, 2011.

To grant Mini-Ratna status to the Central Warehousing Corporation, the guarantee referred to in the sub-section (1) of section 5 would be withdrawn and the Central Government would be absolved of its responsibility of being guarantor.

The Coal Regulatory Authority Bill, 2013.

To appoint Independent Regulatory for coal sector  which would result in more optimal development and conservation of coal resources more effective regulation, adoption of best mining practices, rational pricing, better distribution, evolution of a more competitive market etc.  It would also help in creating a level playing field for new entrants in coal sector

The Electronic  Delivery of Services Bill, 2013.

 

To introduce new Bill  on the enactment of right of citizens for time bound delivery of goods and services and redressal of their grievances act.

The Wildlife (Protection) Amendment Bill, 2013.

To include the provisions of CITES Regulations in the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972  in order to control illegal trade in wildlife and their parts and products, categorization and enhancement of punishments,  power of Central Government to alter the entries in the Schedule, and to make provisions for constitution of Bodies, Committees, Tribunals, etc.

The Constitution (One Hundred Nineteenth Amendment) Bill, 2013.

To implement the India-Bangladesh Land Boundary Agreement, 1974 and Protocol to the Land Boundary Agreement.

To provide maximum possible financial and administrative autonomy to the Nalanda University.

The Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation (Amendment) Bill, 2013.

To facilitate access of borrowers especially small borrowers to education loan and loan for skilled development through the specific Credit Guarantee Funds for these loans.

The Drugs and Cosmetics (Amendment) Bill, 2013.

To introduce comprehensive  Bill  providing creation of Central Drug Authority, Centralised Licensing of Drugs, Regulatory provisions for Clinical trial of drugs, bringing export of drugs and cosmetics under the purview of the Act

The Central Reserve Police Force Bill, 2013.

To consolidate and amend the law relating to the constitution and regulation of CRPF as an Armed Force of the Union for the purposes of restoration and maintenance of law and order and for matters connected therewith.

The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Bill, 2013.

 To establish the Real Estate Regulatory Authority for regulation and promotion of the real estate sector and to ensure sale of plot, apartment or building, as the case may be, in an efficient and transparent manner and to protect the interest of consumers in the real estate sector and establish the Appellate Tribunal to hear appeals from the decisions, directions  or orders of the Authority and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto

The Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Bill, 2013.

To provide for an express provision to cover supply side of bribery for clear and unambiguous definition of the term ‘corruption’; make changes in provision relating to protection from frivolous and vexatious prosecution including laying down clear criteria and procedure therefor and to ensure         more effective compliance of the United Nations Convention against corruption.

The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2013.
