The motion for further consideration of the Bill, as passed by Lok Sabha continued on 14.8.2012 but the discussion remained inconclusive.

 

To establish a mechanism to receive complaints relating to disclosure on any allegation of corruption or willful misuse of power or willful misuse of discretion against any public servant and to enquire or cause an inquiry into such disclosure and to provide adequate safeguards against victimization of the person making such complaint and for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto.

The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Bill, 2012, as passed by Lok Sabha

The Bill, as passed by Lok Sabha on 3.9.2012, was laid on the Table of the Rajya Sabha on 4.9.2012.

 

To provide protection against sexual harassment of women at workplace and for the prevention and redressal of complaints of sexual harassment and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

The Report of the Department-related Standing Committee on Home Affairs presented on 26.03.2012.

 

 (1) To facilitate the re-acquisition of Indian Citizenship by erstwhile citizens of independent India.

(2) To enable acquisition of overseas citizen of India registration by a minors, whose parents are Indian citizens or one parent is an Indian citizen and other parent is not eligible for overseas citizen of India.

(3) To merge the person of Indian Origin Card Scheme and  Overseas Citizen of India Scheme

(4) To re-name “Overseas Citizen of India” as “Overseas Indian Card Holder”

The report of the Department-related Standing Committee on Finance laid on 30.08.2011.

To establish a statutory Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority to promote old age income security by establishing, developing and regulating pension funds and to protect the interests of subscribers to schemes of pension funds.

The Warehousing Corporation (Amendment) Bill, 2011.

The report of the Department–related Standing Committee on Food, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution laid on 30.08.2012.

To grant of Mini-Ratna status to Central Warehousing Corporation. The guarantee referred to in the sub-section (1) of section 5 would be withdrawn and the Central Government would be absolved of its responsibility of being guarantor.

To make amendments in the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 to meet the requirements of Financial Action Task Force relating to financing of terrorism.

The Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order (Amendment) Bill, 2012.

 Introduced on 21.05.2012

The report of the Department-related Standing Committee on Social Justice and Empowerment laid on 24.08.2012

To modify the lists of Scheduled Castes in respect of 4 States viz. Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha & Tripura and  the Constitution (Sikkim) Scheduled Castes Order, 1978 for a similar purpose.
